And he does. Anton Newcombe has put most — if not all — of the Brian Jonestown Massacre audio (including their amazing 90s trifecta Their Satanic Majesties Second Request, Thank God for Mental Illness, and Stick it to the Man) on the band’s website free to download.
The catch for conventional music-listeners is that the files are in the OGG Vorbis format, which are of a much higher quality than the ubiquitous dingy, tinny, MP3s. BJM provides some handy links to downloadable OGG players, and a Quicktime bridge that should allow the files to be loaded onto ITunes etc., but I haven’t spent too much time dinkering with the systems. Feedback is appreciated.
